Evolution (Inheritance, 2010)

The Evolution series is the first series created which clearly marks a move away from the more rigorous black and white images and at the same time a move closer to nature. It is presented in a very simple and often tongue-in-cheek manner; a play – a tug-of-war, almost – with the very things that photography tends to control.

The series focuses on an ever changing nature; a nature which is never identical, even when observed over a very short period of time. We realise that every moment passed is a moment lost in time – a snapshot which will never be again. The scenes were chosen for their simplicity – moments of everyday life which go by unobserved; surroundings we live in but never see.
